There are many choices of restaurants in Tuktuk. We went to Elios for an authentic local taste. The owner Manurung was very nice people, they were very friendly explaining about the diahes. You can get the food cook without blood, just ask. The chicken napi was especially wonderful with local peppercorns seasoning that will numb your tongue for a moment. We ordered grilled pork, grilled fish, grilled egg plants, all were very good with enough amount of spices. If you like to try a local taste, stop and try the flavor. The fresh marquisa juice with less sugar is really refreshing.

Food here is tasty, we ordered their local Batak dishes. There's menu with description in english. Owner is very friendly and speaks English. Very reasonable price too

Food was excellent. I asked for eggplant prepared differently than on the menu and they were happy to oblige. (I showed point out it's low season, there was one other customer---a foreigner---and he was getting plastered on alcohol and sharing his music with ALL of Tuk Tuk).

Found this when we we're looking for place to have dinner. First I was a bit skeptical when we arrived as there is no other customer and quite dark. It is mom and pop restaurant which serve batak style dishes. Famous batak style dishes is grill pork, pork cooked with blood, the spicy andaliman sauce, raw marinated fish. We sat and ordered fish, grilled and fried pork and they turned out to be yummy. The dishes were ready pretty quickly.

We walked past this restaurant while exploring Lake Toba and decided to stop for lunch because it looked welcoming and had a great view — and we’re so glad we did. We ordered the fried rice and BBQ pork, and both were absolutely delicious. The food was so good that we came back again the very next day. This was honestly the best food we had during our time in Lake Toba. On top of that, the owner is incredibly friendly and sweet, which made the experience even better. 100% recommend Restaurant Elios Elios – Rumah Makan Khas Batak!

Although we wait bit for the food, but it was all worth it. love the food. This is the first time I tried bataknese food, the fish flavour is flavourful with a hint of the andaliman spices. Overall the dishes were great and the owner was kind and friendly. Would come back again.

We walked past and the restaurant caught our eye straight away. After checking the reviews and seeing that all the recent ones were five stars, we decided to eat here and it did not disappoint. Honestly, this was the best food we have had in Sumatra so far. We ordered the barbecue pork and the fried rice and both were absolutely delicious. The lady who served us was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend eating here. This is definitely a place we will be coming back to for another meal.

Grabbed lunch here, sampled their bbq ikan (fish). Absolutely delicious!
